Linh Chi Nguyen loves the speed of the business

Business development at H-OI Vietnam

From time to time we take the chance to introduce some of our employees in this newsletter. With the EU-Vietnam FTA being one main focus this time, we thought that it would be interesting for you to get to know somebody who is at the centre of the developments.

Linh Chi started as a trainee at the Witt Group in the Accessories and Shoes department in 2000. In 2008 she met the Office Manager of H-OI Vietnam during his trip to Weiden and she agreed to join H-OI in Vietnam. In order to gain broad experience, she worked for several stations within H-OI and other companies between 2012 and 2015.

As Business Development Executive, Linh Chi is now responsible for all new business development in Vietnam. Finding new fabrics, trims, technologies, mills and production suppliers is part of her job. She gets in touch with potential new customers to introduce them to Vietnam and prepare them for the Vietnamese market and analyses and selects suitable vendors/factories to establish valuable partnerships.

‘H-OI is changing and I want to be a part of an interesting development,’ says LinhChi. ‘I really enjoy the speed that comes with my job. We are always looking for more mills and vendors, even more so with the FTA. Sometimes I wish I had a second head to be more creative, two more hands to work faster and wings so that I could fly from one customer to the other and quickly back to the factory to get things done faster and even more effectively. Having worked for the Otto Group for almost 15 years in total, I still like the working enviroment and our company policy a lot.’
